Opening at Darke Gallery in Houston--April 4th

Darke Gallery presents "Wax Works" opening Saturday night, April 4th. My new work focuses on obsolete media components embedded into wax. Ten pieces were chosen for the show--some include floppy disks, recording tape, pieces of wire and even a few fans from old computers.

TexasWax 1st meeting of the new year

TexasWax/Austin will meet at 10:30 a.m. on January 17th at the studio of Roxi McCloskey Morris. This will be the 1st meeting of 2009 and will be our planning meeting for the year. Encaustic Classes with Paula Roland

Many of you have requested information about classes. Although I will be teaching very informal 1/2 day classes in my studio beginning early next year...in the meantime or in addition, I strongly encourage those of you interested in learning about encaustics or those of you ready to enhance your knowledge in encaustic techniques to take one or more of Paula Roland's classes. She's an outstanding instructor and what a nice way to spend some time in New Mexico or Tucson, Arizona.
